GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide management oversight to all clinical
programs
- Provide direct clinical supervision to
all clinical staff and consultation to program staff
- Provide direct clinical services (caseload
to be negotiated)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversee the recruitment and hiring process
of clinical staff.
- Provide direct supervision of clinical
staff (full time, part time, contract, students, and post-doctoral
fellows if appropriate).
- Conduct regularly scheduled performance
reviews with clinical staff.
- Serve as a clinical resource for all
agency staff.
- Develop and implement new clinical programs.
- Monitor and evaluate existing programs.
- Assist in the grant development process.
- Establish and maintain a full credentialing
system for the agency including practice compliance and
licensure requirements.
- Ensure compliance, monitor and evaluate
the clinical protocol, Policy and Procedures Manual, the
Operations Manual, workload standards, and monthly reporting
requirements.
- Provide individual, family, and group
counseling (caseload to be negotiated).
- Liaise with other social service agencies
in providing clinical services to the Asian/Asian-American
Houston-area community.
- Maintain and monitor a clinical data
system and ensure completion of required paperwork in
a professional and timely manner.
- Implement continuous quality improvement
standards.
- Make professional presentations on behalf
of the agency.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the
executive director.
QUALIFICATIONS
The applicant must have the following qualifications:
- Masters or doctoral degree in counseling,
clinical psychology, social work, or other mental health
related disciplines.
- Appropriate State of Texas licensure
in his/her field of clinical practice and compliance with
the ethical standards of the profession.
- A minimum of five (5) years of postgraduate
experience in counseling and/or psychotherapy.
- A minimum of three (3) year of experience
supervising clinical staff, along with necessary coursework
requirements as set forth by the respective licensing
board.
- Adequate professional liability insurance.
- Excellent management skills to work with
a diverse staff and client population.
- Knowledge/training in the culturally-competent
provision of clinical services.
- Demonstrated competency in Asian culture
and ability to work with people of varying backgrounds.
- Proficiency in at least one (1) Asian
language for counseling purposes.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in
English.
- Experience in public speaking and psycho-educational
teaching.
- Ability to work independently.
- Possess excellent time management and
organizational skills.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
(including some evening & weekend hours).
- Social Security card or proof of citizenship
or work permission.
